So that's at least 3 of us if not more have now seen this 1542A driver prob., I'm afraid I don't have time or experience to debug the driver, (though I'd have loved to give it a try, if I'd had loads of time :-) so I think you should make as exact & full a summary of what you (& others) have seen as you can, & submit it with send-pr, &/or post to scsi@_ERASE_freeebsd.org, cc the folks above, There are folks who could debug this out there, they just don't have our 1542a cards, so we have to co-operate in encouraging them to provide test fixes, then compiling kernels & testing them. I'm afraid doing that email bit is not high on my priority as: - I can no longer post to freebsd lists (DNS anti-spam security tightening @_ERASE_freebsd.org has caught me in its net, a bit like tuna fishermen inadvertently catch dolphins too). - My net access is also in peril & I have to make other arrangements. - Normal december personal time pressures. So if you want a fix, please take the lead, & use me & the other folk documented in http://.........../~jhs/hardware/1542a/ to coroborate your report, then we'll hopefully see some patches we can try :-) If someone send me some patches it's easy for me to hitch on another disc, compile a new kernel & reboot that system, just, folks, if you'r seeing this for the first time, please ask Leif to describe the problem, or see ~jhs/hardware/1542a/, as above, I have email connectivity problems to solve before engaging in email discussions that will soon bounce or fail. Thanks Julian -- Julian H. Stacey jhs@
